Kathy Cooper is a nationally recognized floorcloth artist, producing original
hand-painted rugs in custom designs. She is the author of two best-selling books on floorcloths,
The Complete Book of Floorcloths and The Weekend
Crafter: Painting Floorcloths.
Kathy has been a frequent guest on television, appearing on
Home Matters, Decorating with Style, Interior Motives and Paint, Paint, Paint, teaching segments
on painted rugs. She presents workshops and lectures on
floorcloth design. Now her workshop is available on video, “Making Floorcloths
with Kathy Cooper”. Kathy is a featured artist on Fredrix Canvas products and author of their website
“Create Your Own Floorcloths”. Kathy's work may also be seen at art shows around the country.
Her work has appeared in numerous magazines and newspapers including Southern Accents, Home, House Beautiful, Metropolitan Home, Gourmet, Surface Design Journal, and Country Living, and the cover of Where:Atlanta.
Cooper has produced work for many homes across the United States and abroad. Some of her more famous clients include, Mrs. F W Woolworth, Joanne Woodward/Paul Newman, Carrie Fischer, Michael Keaton, Jim Palmer and Henry Winkler.
