Choosing a Design
Please indicate your preference for design. You may pick and choose the elements which particularly appeal to you: i.e., borders, no borders, geometrics, floral, etc. Any pieces of information that you can include about the type of feeling you would like to create in your room are helpful. Let a picture tell the story by including a few snapshots of the space. Be sure to include all fabric swatches, wallpapers or any other elements that may significantly impact on the colors in your floorcloth. Go to Design for more information on creating a custom floorcloth.

Design Fee
Each floorcloth is created by hand and therefore no extra fees are required for custom colors. To request a color rendering of a particular design or to create a new design, there is a $100.00 design fee. The design fee covers drawing time and is considered a deposit on your purchase. It is non-refundable but will be credited toward your purchase. Fee is due with request for drawing.

Colors
Design colors are hand-mixed from acrylics and vary with each painting. To convey a common understanding of the general colors you seek, it is helpful to send a selection of paint chips. Acrylic paints will mix closely though not exactly the same as the color chips. Colors will be essentially comparable, however, expect some variation. Background colors are sometimes left as the latex paint and sometimes covered completely with acrylics. If you select a latex paint for the background please include a DURON paint chip.

Size
To determine the size you need for your floorcloth, take several newspapers and tape them together in the approximate shape. Lay the paper pattern on the floor and cut and tape as necessary until you have the size that looks correct for your space. For a dining area rug be sure to leave enough space for the chairs to move back and forth easily. You may figure your floorcloth size in inches if necessary. (To convert your measurement into a rug price, multiply the length x width x square foot price. If the measurement is in inches be sure to divide by 144” before multiplying by the square foot price.)

Delivery Time
Delivery time depends on the size of the piece and the current studio schedule at the time the deposit is paid. It can often take 4 - 6 months during busy months.

Remember, you are ordering an original painting created especially for your floor. It is a unique and versatile craft with a distinctive hand-painted quality. I hope your patience will be rewarded with many years of enjoyment from your new floorcloth.

Price List

All prices for floorcloths are based on $50.00 per square foot. To calculate a price on any rug simply measure for a length and width, then multiply the length x the width to establish the total square footage. (Be sure to convert the measurement to feet before applying the square foot price.) Based on this price structure here are some sample sizes and prices.

The following list shows prices for standard floorcloth sizes. Custom sizes are available. All measurements are shown in approximate feet.
